My passion for working with my hands started from a young age. I have fond memories of painting and doing pottery with my Mom and spending hours on art school projects with my dad. He taught me how to saw, solder and work with tools.

Growing up near the beach has played a major role in my design aesthetic. Drawing inspiration from the South African coastline is where my organic creations stem from. I sculpt my jewellery in the shapes and textures of shells by meticulously hand carving my works in wax and then casting into metal to form precious yet organic compositions. Each CJ Jewellery piece is made and designed by me in our beautiful studio situated in sunny Durban, South Africa.
